How We Research

  1. Start with human trials. We prioritize randomized controlled trials and meta-analyses published in peer-reviewed journals. Animal and lab studies are only used to explain mechanisms, never to support claims.
  2. Grade the evidence. Every benefit is rated from "early" to "strong" based on the number, size and quality of trials, and we say clearly when evidence is limited.
  3. Match the dose. We report the exact dose, extract and duration used in the research, because saffron results depend heavily on all three.
  4. Review regularly. Pages are reviewed when significant new research is published, and product rankings are re-checked monthly.

How We Rate Products

Our product rankings score each supplement on dose accuracy (30%), extract transparency (30%), brand testing and reputation (25%) and value (15%). We work from product labels, manufacturer quality information and the clinical literature. We do not accept free products or payment for placement, and we're upfront that we have not lab-tested products ourselves.
